  My favorite trail to run. Just a little over 3 miles, even up and down grades with plenty of shade for the hot summer days.

  The views were worth our drive from Mesa. The trail is wide and is obviously used by ATVs quite often. It's a short hike, maybe 1.7 miles. We thought it would be longer but maybe we took a shortcut by accident. We didn't see anyone on the trail. It was very quiet, which was nice! My husband found a place to bushwack up to the top of a rock formation and we were able to see a beautiful view of the valley.
